A Conference For Russian Christian Women St. Petersburg, Russia April 28, 2007 - 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

On April 28th, the CoMission for Children at Risk co-hosted a women's conference in St. Petersburg, Russia. The other hosts were Saddleback Church (the church of Rick Warren, author of Purpose Driven Life), Northlands Church (in Atlanta) and Zhatva Church in St. Petersburg.The Father's Heart was a one-day event for Russian women with a number of excellent speakers, and two main themes:
To encourage Russian Christian women in the love God has for them (encouragement is something Russian women do not get enough of!)
To share with Russian women God's heart for the hurting, and particularly for orphans. We will share about the changing adoption/fostercare laws in Russia and how God could use Russian women as a tool to bring hope and healing to orphans in this critical time.
