 Disabled Orphans

Overview of Ministry Activity

The problem;
The deformed and sick orphans of the world are the forgotten ones.
These children will probably spend their lives in shame and sadness.
Few people will adopt them and they will have a miserable adulthood, living as outcasts from society.

The solution;
Mellowswan Foundation a California non profit medical charitable foundation was created to address this global problem and bring these orphans to California Hospitals for corrective surgery and treatment.
We will search poor countries orphanages for orphans that will benefit from corrective surgery that cannot be done in their countries and we will bring the orphan to California for surgery and medical treatments.
This will benefit countless lives, and will allow these poor deformed orphans a bright future and a place in society.

Funding requirements;

Mellowswan Foundation seeks grants to pay for;
Airlines tickets ( fly the orphans to California and back )
Attorney fees ( for the legal documents here and abroad )
Translator fees ( to accompany the Mellowswan Foundation officer to the orphanage if necessary )
Hotel fees ( to accommodate the officer and the orphan in transit)
Doctors fees ( for the pre and post surgery care)
Hospital fees ( the surgery and treatment )
Staff salaries ( A group of young altruist men and women,four travel escorts, three office staff to handle legal, medical and transportation, two refuge staff for domestic and transportation )
Land and building expenses ( To buy acres in the country side to build a refuge to host the orphans while their recuperate from surgery in California )
Our organization;

Mellowswan Foundation was founded in 2004 by
Sonia Baron-Vine, a polio survivor and single mother of three healthy biological children, who adopted three deformed orphans from Russia and Ukraine in 1994 and 1999.
While in Ukraine she spent a month at the orphanage for deformed children in Tsurupinks, where she realized that many of the resident orphans could have simple corrective surgeries and implants that could change their lives and improve their chances of being adopted.
She founded Mellowswan Foundation with the goal of building a refuge here in California where the sick orphans could stay pre and post surgery.
Our foundation is a legal reality now, but we need grants in order to reach out to the abandoned and forgotten orphans that daily wait to be adopted, only to be rejected because of their deformities, a chance to a happy life.
Please help us with our mission, it is a matter of human rights.
